Donatella Versace Is Back With a New Brand

By Shubham Kumar

Donatella Versace is back in the creative world with a new project, but this time it is not Versace.

She has joined forces with Los Angeles-based REVOLVE Group to create a new independent fashion and beauty business built around her creative vision. Donatella will lead the venture as Chief Creative Officer, while REVOLVE will bring its digital platform, technology, consumer insights and global reach.

The partnership comes around a year and a half after Donatella stepped down as Chief Creative Officer of Versace in March 2025, a position she had held for nearly three decades. She later became Chief Brand Ambassador of the house.

What makes this project interesting is that it is being built outside the traditional fashion-house structure. The new venture will bring together fashion, beauty, content, entertainment and experiences, reflecting the way younger consumers discover and connect with brands today.

REVOLVE brings a strong digital and creator-driven business, while Donatella brings decades of experience connecting fashion with music, entertainment and popular culture. Together, the idea is to build a brand around a new generation of consumers rather than simply recreate what already exists.

The new brand does not have a name yet. The first products are expected to arrive in 2027, with the name and initial products to be revealed in the coming months. The business will launch across the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

For Donatella, this is a different kind of return to fashion. After spending almost 30 years helping shape one of the industry’s most recognisable houses, she is now starting something from the beginning.

And that may be the most interesting part of the story. This time, the name is not Versace. It is hers to create.
